Welcome to Shanghai. Catch your included arrival transfer at the airport, then join your CEO and fellow travellers for an epic Dinner Party in the heart of the city. Learn to cook delicious local delicacies and gather round with your new friends to dig in to your creations.
Make sure to arrive by 3pm so that you have ample time to get settled in and join your CEO and fellow travellers for a welcome briefing and the Dinner Party.
Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Food is a universal language, and there's no better way to get to know a new friend, or a new community, than by breaking bread together and digging in to a delicious meal. Start your incredible China adventure with a cooking class to connect with your fellow Solo-ish travelers. Try your hand at fried buns, spring rolls and Yangzhou Fried Rice, then sit down with your new besties and enjoy the amazing Chinese food you created together.
Dinner
There's no better way to get underneath the skin of a place like digging into a hearty meal. In this case, set off on foot with your CEO first thing in the morning in search of some Shanghainese breakfast staples. Try da bing and you tiao for a sinfully delicious celebration of carbs. You'll be full, but that's what you'll need to keep your energy up as you continue exploring Shanghai with your CEO. Spend most of the day on foot exploring architectural Wukang Road and modern Anfu road. In the afternoon, visit the Yuyuan Garden Area and Yuyuan Bazaar and immerse yourself in local Chinese life. Finally, as the sun begins to set, walk along the famous Bund en route to an optional dinner.
With your incredible CEO at the helm, get to know the local community and your Solo-ish travel mates on a day packed full of interesting and engaging adventures. On this Shanghai Walking Tour, explore the highlights of the city, like Wukang Road and Anfu road, while connecting with your group. Experience local Chinese life in Yuyuan Gard Area and Bazaar, visit the City God Temple and walk through the famous Bund.
Enjoy a Chinese acrobatic show with tumbling, balancing and plate-spinning and amazing contortionists— truly not to be missed!
Breakfast
Begin the day with an extra special surprise activity with your fellow Solo-ish travel mates. Then make you way to Zhujiajiao Water Town for a full day exploration of this incredible ancient area. Walk across Zhujiajiao's many bridges, all built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Your expert CEO will point out tons of fascinating things and there will be some time at leisure to hop aboard a boat to float down the canals.
With your Solo-ish travel mates and CEO, explore some of the worlds coolest activities alongside new friends. It's not just an epic day of fun, its chock full of incredible experiences and a surprise G element along the way to take your day to 11. Explore the ancient Zhujiajiao Water Town, known as the Venice of Shanghai. With many features that can be dated back to the Ming dynasty, as early as the late 1300's, wander on foot through the historic bridges, around old marble structures and by wood buildings.
Explore the Zhujiajiao Water Town from, well, the water! Hop into a wooden boat and enjoy the beautiful view of lanterns, historic wooden buildings and pagodas.
Lunch
Today we take the bullet train to the city along the Yangtze river, Yangzhou. After an orientation walk, we'll explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Slender West lake. Peppered with beautiful temples, bridges and weeping willow trees. In the evening, walk with your fellow Solo-ish travellers through the lantern lined Dongguan Street. Through hundreds of alleys with names like Peony Lane, Culture Lane and Five Blessings Lane, you'll feel like you're walking through a world of poetry.

Enjoy a tour led by your CEO of the riverside city, Yangzhou. Visit the historic UNESCO World Heritage site Slender West Lake. Walk along the famed Dongguan Street with alleys named for poetry.
After a delicious Dim Sum breakfast, enjoy a free morning to explore Yangzhou. Opt to relax, take a stroll or wander through the beautiful Geyuan Garden. Then catch the bullet train to the ancient city of Xi'An this afternoon.

In the early 1800's a salt dealer built this amazing garden that has been preserved and maintained all these years. Visit the bamboo grove and the different sections of the garden, each designated to one of the four seasons.
Breakfast
Today we'll visit one of the most recognized and beloved archeological sites in the world, the Terracotta Warriors Museum. With your camera and your Solo-ish friends, we'll tour this incredible spot. After returning to the city, the afternoon is dedicated to the Xi'an Muslim Quarters. As the eastern terminus of the Silk Road, this historic city has maintained its importance and charm throughout centuries. Spend this time exploring the famous destinations like the Bell Tower and Drum Tower.
Visit the site of the Terracotta Warriors, an archaeological treasure where approximately 8,000 soldiers and hundreds of horses stand on guard in three excavated pits in an on-site museum. Learn how the underground warriors were discovered (by accident) in 1974, and why Emperor Qin Shihuang commissioned the statues to serve as his army in the afterlife.
Explore the lively Muslim Quarter and its serene Great Mosque, making time to indulge in the offerings of exotic local street food stalls. At night, head out for some of the best street food in China – the spicy beef and lamb kebabs are always a favorite.
This morning the gang will head to the famous Xi'an City wall to explore together. Opt to walk along the wall or rent a bike and cruise. Later, travel to the historic charming city of Luoyi Ancient Town. Explore the town at night, admiring the lit lanterns and the reflection of the buildings on the lake.

Walk along ancient city walls, through historic courtyards and beneath very old trees as you explore Luoyi Ancient Town. In Luoyi, the ancient word for Luoyang, visit the Wenfeng Tower, Confusion Temple and Tuoling Palace.
Travel back in time and witness some of the most impressive Chinese art that dates back to the 300's. With over 100,000 stone carvings 2000 caves and almost 3000 carved inscriptions, The Longmen Grottoes' incredible Buddhist work will surely strike you with awe. After the tour, drive to what's known as the most photogenic and popular hiking portion of the Great Wall of China. Jinshanling is one of the only sections of the wall with three story towers and tends to remain less crowded. Once we arrive, we'll join a dumpling making class and enjoy a delicious Chinese dinner together.
Enjoy a visit to this fantastic UNESCO World Heritage Site, with over 100,000 Buddha images carved into a mountain side. Giant panoramas featuring various images of Buddha are flanked by smaller statues that depict him in a variety of poses.

Dinner
Wake today ready to hike along one of the 7 Wonders of the World! This 5km hike will bring you to both restored and original sections of the wall. We'll climb through original watch towers, admire impressive views of the horizon and enjoy this architectural masterpiece. After the trek, we'll sit down together for lunch before transferring to Beijing, our final stop of the trip. Upon arrival drop your bags at the hotel and opt to join your CEO and Solo-ish mates for dinner in Dashilan Street, one of Beijing's Most ancient and famous streets.
Enjoy another day of hiking. Along a Jinshanling loop, the watchtowers get closer together, and the Wall is in its best state of repair. These watchtowers were used to store weapons and to keep an eye out for invading enemy forces, as this was getting closer to the middle of the Chinese empire.

Join your CEO in the morning to visit the historic Tiananmen Square, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Forbidden City. Tour the popular imperial palace complex built over 600 years ago. The afternoon is yours to enjoy how you'd like. Opt to join your CEO and take a walking tour of Beijing, visiting iconic spots like Hutong Valley, Houhai Lake, and the Bell and Drum Tower. Or take the afternoon to spend some solo travel time, or some quality time with some fellow Solo-ish travelers.
Explore one of the world's largest public squares and the symbolic centre of Chinese power. Framed by the Gate of Heavenly Peace with its Mao portrait, Mao's Mausoleum, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum, and with elaborate flag raising and lowering ceremonies at dawn and dusk, it's a place of pilgrimage for the Chinese tourists who consider it the heart of their nation.
Check out the iconic Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing. For 500 years the palace was only accessible to the emperors’ attendants and officials by invitation only. Visit sights like the Clock Exhibition Hall, wander through the Three Great Halls or stand in the shade of the cypress trees in the Imperial Garden.
